Still life

All of the artworks are not taken from what I see, rather than what I imagine or from memory. An initial composition will start with making random marks of various objects, which then go through a process of change in the building up layers of colour and pattern. At times some images disappear and others are added in to create a sense of balance and harmony. I’m not interested in creating depth in my work in a traditional sense, rather than have the objects hover and float on the surface. I see my work as an evolving process that eventually comes to a conclusion that I’m happy with.
